Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Knobugsoft LLC ("we") handles personal information collected through Ledger at mortagefvcalculator.com. This page is maintained by Knobugsoft LLC and reflects current practices; it is not an independent certification.

1. Information we collect

• Account data (if you sign up): email address, hashed password, OAuth identifier (Google/Apple).
• Subscription & billing data: managed by our payments processor Paddle (Merchant of Record). We store a subscription ID, customer ID, plan, status, and renewal dates. We do not receive or store your card number.
• Calculator inputs & saved scenarios: stored only when you're signed in and click "save".
• Lead submissions: if you submit the "Get matched with lenders" form, we store your name, email, optional phone/ZIP, loan purpose and the calculator context you were working with.
• Technical data: standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention.

2. How we use information

• To operate the Service and your account.
• To process payments (via Paddle) and email receipts, welcome and cancellation notices (via Resend).
• To respond to lender-matching requests you submit.
• To detect abuse and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Sub-processors

• Supabase — database & authentication hosting.
• Cloudflare — DNS and delivery.
• Paddle.com Market Ltd — Merchant of Record for all payments.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Google AdSense (only if enabled on this deployment) — contextual advertising.

4. Cookies

We use functional cookies and localStorage for sign-in sessions and theme preference. Paddle sets checkout-related cookies during a purchase. If advertising is enabled, Google AdSense may set advertising cookies.

5. Data retention

• Account data: for the life of the account, deleted on request.
• Subscription records: retained as required by tax and accounting law (typically 7 years).
• Lead submissions: up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Server logs: up to 30 days.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

8. International transfers

Data may be processed in the United States and the European Union by our sub-processors. We rely on their standard contractual clauses where applicable.

9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest at the database layer. Row Level Security is enforced so that users can only access their own rows. No system is perfectly secure; we ask you to report suspected issues to [email protected].

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email.
